Introduction
- RGGW&CH is a Baby Friendly hospital as the babies born here were exclusively fed with human milk since 2019.
- The babies are initiated with Direct breast feeds within half an hour of delivery whether normal delivery or cesarean delivery unless proven to have contra indication to breast milk.
- This has been made possible with the advent of Human Milk Bank since 2019 and MAA training of Health Staffs and adequate counseling of the mothers.
- More than 80% of health workers of this Institute are trained under "Mother's Absolute Affection" Programme.
- The Institution has applied to "Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India" to be accreditated as "BFHI" as per guidelines.
